Tender and true

Guiding me always

In Your Gentle Ways

Giving me Strength

When it is strength that I need

Teaching me slowly

To live as You show

Helping me see

What is needed to grow

But I learn so slowly

Make so many mistakes

Fall by the wayside

And remain there a while

Yet You always come

I need only call

You always are faithful

A dependable Friend

Ever protective

And always kind

Helping me up

Attending my wounds

Enabling me to walk again

My Companion alongside

On the journey with me

What more could I need?
